Typing Test Rules in Allahabad High Court and UPPCL Exams 2018.
Hello friends today we will discuss about the Typing Test in upcoming exams of Allahabad High Court and UPPCL. As you all know there is a typing test in Allahabad High Court carry 25 marks each in Hindi and English typing in Second Stage of the exam.
Many of us would not be aware about the allotment and calculation process of marks while going for typing test.
Marks in Typing Test
25 Marks for 300 Words in 10 Minute in English(30 WPM)
25 Marks for 250 Words in 10 Minute in Hindi(25 WPM)
WPM is nothing but number of words typed in 1 minute.
Before moving forward let understand what is WORD considered or defined as in typing test. WORD is a number of characters or alphabet it consists of 5 characters on a average.
Now CPM is the number of characters typed a minute. Suppose you typed 200 characters in a minute that will come to 200 / 5 = 40 Words Per Minute.This 40 word per minute is the speed of your typing test.
Characters keystocks key depressions alphabets all are same things.
But Backspace;Blank Space,Enter;Sift and all others non characters element and not counted as character.
The marks what you get in typing test,all depends upon the speed at which you type.Therefore ,calculation of speed is very important for your preparation.
There are two methods to calculate typing speed.
Gross Word Per Minute or Raw Words Per Minute helps to count how fast you are with your fingers.It tells your how much words you have typed in a minute irrespective of correct and incorrect entries. For example if you type 200 words in a minute irrespective of errors words your GWPM speed will be 200÷ 5=40 word per minute.
Net Words Per Minute Speed is to measure your accurate maintained per minute.NWPM shows the number of correct words in total typed words in a minute. For example if you type 200 total words in a minute with 5 wrongly typed words then your NWPM would be 200÷5 = 40-5 wrong words= 35WPM. This 35 correctly typed words will finally be considered for calculating your marks.
One more important term talked about while typing is the ACCURACY. Accuracy is nothing but the percentage of correct entries of out of total entries typed.In simple words it is the correctness that you maintain while typing to calculate It is the percentage difference between GWPM and NWPM. For example, you typed 40 GWPM,out of which 5 Words are wrongly type.Therefore your Accuracy we will be 40-5= 35÷40×100=87.5.It means that out of total 100% words typed only 87.5 words are correct. This 87.5 percent of correctly typed words will be considered while allotting your marks.

Hence, 100% accuracy is expected from all you aspirants. Kindly note that no extra marks will be allotted for over typing means if the exam is for 300 words you will not get extra marks for typing 320 or 340 words ending up losing your accuracy. Therefore try to be within the boundary with full accuracy and grab full marks.
